For more than 200 years this prestigious brand has been part of the heritage of the Town of Thiers, the capital of the French cutlery industry.
- Some history
In the beginning of the 19th century, two great families began to forge the reputation of SABATIER knives: The "Moutier" Sabatier (lower Thiers) and the "Bellevue" Sabatier (upper Thiers).
Now only one family remains, the "Bellevue" Sabatier, still at the same address. For eight generations, it has been manufacturing top-of-the-range kitchen knives under the corporate name.
Sabatiers Knives, with a long-standing reputation for outstanding dependability, still remains the sign of high-quality manufacturing.
- Knives forged from a single piece of metal
All Sabatiers knives are fully forged from a single piece of metal (blade - bolster - tang) the best French steel. The manufacturing is done exclusively around Thiers according to the traditional techniques that have made the world reputation of SABATIER AINÉ & PERRIER for more than 200 years.
